ROOF MAINTENANCE & MANAGEMENT
Roof Maintenance
For many of our customers we are on hand to look after their roof, which gives it a much longer life. Simply by keeping it clean and free from defects your roof will stay healthy for longer and inevitably save you thousands of pounds.

If the building contains high value electrical equipment then it's important that there is no water ingress. So we'll clean the areas concerned to ensure all outlets are free flowing and do a full inspection of the roof covering and associated details.
Pitched roofs are notorious for cracked or missing slates/tiles. Lead may have been stolen, or is falling out and gutters may be blocked or have a leaking joint

Some pointing may be defective to either a chase or ridge and allow small amounts of water ingress. All these items can allow water into a structure and start to cause water damage to timbers etc and not show internally but over a period of time can cause the timber to rot.
Roof Management
Many of our customers like to have an idea of how long a roof will last for on certain buildings. This allows them to budget costs for future expenditure over a period which can be up to 10 years. We'll plan your build and give you a report on which roof may need to be replaced and when.

This helps our customers to look at what possible internal works need to be programmed for this period of time.
Let's take a hotel as an example. They will spend millions of pounds on refitting bars and bedrooms yet the roof could leak in a couple of months of the works being completed and they'd waste all of those millions of pounds.

When to just repair or completely replace the whole roof is a massive call and there are a few considerations, so it's really worth talking to an expert before you make a decision. We did a job to replace an air handling unit and the access was impossible, it was a brute of a job! As the roof was not great it made financial sense to do them both together. That roof will now last a lifetime!

All of the manufactures we work with have the ability to use the appropriate material in the right place. In other words a coating may be the best solution for certain areas where there is limited access, but as this is an expensive material with most systems the best option is to use a built up felt or single ply for the main areas.
This is called a hybrid system which is more common these days as technology has improved systems. The guarantee will not be affected if the same manufacturer is used.
The most important thing for us is to get the right information about your job so we can give you the right advice and do an exceptional job for you.
